Labor Day Weekend in Silver Bay

We enjoyed spending time up north with Grandpa Virgil and Grandma Donna over Labor Day weekend! Grandpa beat me at cribbage but oh well, must've been that secret weapon of his. Karen joined us last minute which was a nice addition to the trip. Just as we were about to leave we found out that Trixie had passed away in the night. :-( Rest in Peace Pooey. We went to Split Rock Lighthouse and the boys played on the keyboard with Grandpa Virgil. This trip was when I also began my running adventure - I started the Couch to 5K program! That first run was NOT pretty, but was a big step for me and for the last 2 weeks I have been running a 5K (3.12 miles) 3-4 times a week!
